TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) is a globally recognized exam designed to assess Korean language proficiency in non-native speakers. It’s administered by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea through the National Institute for International Education (NIIED).

It’s a key qualification for:

  • Studying at Korean universities 
  • Applying for scholarships (e.g. Global Korea Scholarship)

TOPIK is divided into two test types:

📆 When Is the Exam Held?

TOPIK is conducted five times a year — in January, April, July, October, and November. Depending on the location, not all test centers offer all sessions, so be sure to check availability.
