What if I miss a class?

If you miss a class, you can schedule a 15 min recap with your teacher before or after class.

What if I miss multiple classes?

As part of your enrolment, you earn a year long access to your level and you can attend missed classes in the next scheduled batch.

Do I get a recording if I miss a class?

No, we do not share recordings of classes. Recorded classes are boring plus it’s nearly impossible to capture the enthusiasm of our amazing teachers on film!

Can I get 1-on-1 recap sessions?

If you’ve missed multiple classes and cannot wait for the next batch, we offer 1-on-1 recap classes at the rate of INR 900/hour (excl. taxes).

Can I shift to another batch?

Yes, as part of your enrolment, you earn a year long access to your level and can switch to another batch.

Can I make the payment in installments?

No, we do not offer installments for payments of fees as all learning materials are distributed on the first day of class.

Can I cancel my registration?

No. Once the fees are paid, they are non-refundable.

How do I make payments?

Payment details are shared in the registration forms. The various payment options include UPI, Internet Banking, RazorPay, Credit Card, and QR code.

Will I get referral discounts?

Yes! For every referral you make, you are eligible for a discount of INR 1,000 on the base fee. The student referred by you must enroll and make the complete payment for your referral discount to apply. The discount is not applicable on the GST due.

What’s the best course to learn Japanese, Korean, or Chinese for beginners?

The best way to choose a language is to attend our FREE demo session. During this demo session you will learn some basic phrases, get a cultural sneak peek, and understand what classes with one of our experienced teachers will be like.

When do I have to pay the fees?

The fees need to be paid before the batch begins. You can avail the benefits of our Early-Bird Registration Discount by registering within one week of attending the free demo session.

Do you offer any discounts?

We offer an Early Bird Discount and a Referral Discount. You can avail an Early Bird Discount of INR 500/- by registering within one week of attending the free demo session. 
 You can avail a Referral Discount of INR 1000/- . This discount can be redeemed by you (the referrer) after your referral (the person referred)opts in for, and makes the full payment for the level. To be eligible, your referral must include your name in their registration form. 


Will I get a certificate?

Yes, at the end of the course, you will receive a certificate and a verified badge that you can display on your LinkedIn profile/ other social media profiles.

What is a digital badge that we receive at the end of the course?

A Digital Badge is a like an online certificate that is unique to you, that potential employers can use to verify your fluency in the language. It can be shared on your social media platforms like LinkedIn/ Facebook, etc.

How many exams do we have to take during the course?

In the Beginners Level, there is one Mid-Term Assessment and one Final Examination. 
 For the higher levels, there will be two assessments and one final examination. There will also be more self-practice quizzes after each unit.

When do we take the international certification exams?

For Mandarin, you can take your HSK 1 right after you complete your Beginners and Level 1. For Japanese, you can take the JLPT N5 exam after you complete your JLPT N5 Level. For Korean also, you can take the TOPIK 1 after you complete your Beginners + Level 1 and Level 2.

Are the fees for weekend and weekday batch different?

No, they are the same.

Are the fees for online and offline batch different?

No, they are the same.

When can I give HSK?

For Mandarin, you can take your HSK 1 right after you complete your Beginners and Level 1.

When can I give JLPT?

For Japanese, you can take the JLPT N5 exam after you complete your JLPT N5 Level.

When can I give TOPIK?

For Korean also, you can take the TOPIK 1 after you complete your Beginners + Level 1 and Level 2.

Can I give HSK/TOPIK/JLPT exams at The Oriental Dialogue?

No, we are not an authorised centre for HSK/TOPIK/JLPT exams. However, we do prepare you for the exams.

Do you have an affiliate marketing programme?

Yes, you can sign up to be an Affiliate Marketer with TOD and earn INR 500 per student referral who registers and pays the fees for the level.

Can I join your online Korean, Japanese, or Chinese classes from anywhere in India?

Yes, we offer online classes for all out language courses. Some of the cities we frequently cater to for online classes are: Chennai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai, Noida, Gurgaon, Indore, Bhopal, Jaipur, and Hyderabad.

Are your language classes available internationally for students living outside India?

Yes, our courses are designed for Indians learning the language, and we have several students learning remotely from locations such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, China, Korea, US, and UK.

Are your trainers native speakers or fluent Indian instructors?
